Infared Game Camera Video of Coyote

July 14th, 2009 by Deer Tracking Cameras

Here is another Scoutguard SG550 digital trail camera video.  This video was shot in infared mode at night.  I have this SG550 in the woods behind my home.  This coyote made a brief appearance in front of my game camera.

My wife was really pleased (insert your own sarcastic tone here) when I showed her this video.  She is afraid that this coyote will end up eating our new puppy.  If I was this coyote, I'd be less concerned about eating the puppy, and more concerned about walking under my treestand during the upcoming bow season.

Enjoy!

Scoutguard SG550 Video of Doe and Fawn

July 12th, 2009 by Deer Tracking Cameras

I have my game cameras back in the field and just pulled the memory cards today. I got some great videos which I will start posting. This video comes from a small wood lot behind my home in Kentucky. There are tons of deer in the vicinity, and I have a lot of movement in the area.

The video below is of a doe with a little bitty fawn. This video was picked up on July 7, in the afternoon. It was a really hot day, but the deer are still moving.

The doe moves through the woods very cautiously, and you can see her sampling the air with her nose as she moves. The little fawn still has its spots.

This video came off of my Scoutguard SG550. I love this little camera, and when I say little, I mean little in size. It is no bigger than your hand. The daytime videos are a little choppy, but the infared quality of this camera at night is what I really love. It has great range.

Hope you enjoy this video. Thanks

Here is an interesting sequence of videos captured with a DLC Covert trail camera. The owner captured a variety of interesting animals on this video, including bats in flight, ringtail cats, bear, javelina, bobcat, and more. Check it out. The DLC Covert cameras are hot!

Video of Buck on Scoutguard SG550

March 23rd, 2009 by Deer Tracking Cameras

I pulled the memory card from my Scoutguard SG550 this evening. I was surprised to see this nice buck pictured in the video below. This buck passed in front of my Scoutguard SG550 this morning. This makes the second buck I've seen in the last week that still hasn't dropped its rack yet. I'm happy to see that this buck made it through the late bow season. He should be a pretty respectable buck when the bow season opens this fall. I would think he should be dropping his rack any day now. Looks like I'll be doing some shed hunting this weekend. I'd love to find this set. Click the link below to download and view the video.

Jakes on my Scoutguard SG550

March 23rd, 2009 by Deer Tracking Cameras

Here is some video I picked up last week of a few jakes scratching. I picked this video up in the woods right behind my house. I was happy to see this, because these are the first turkeys I have seen behind the house.

March 15th and Some Bucks Still Have Their Racks

March 20th, 2009 by Deer Tracking Cameras

While checking my Scoutguard SG550 this week, I was surprised to see this little buck still had its rack. In my neck of the woods, they have typically all dropped by now. Maybe this little guy is just a slow starter. Or, this may explain why I have come up empty handed each time I've gone out shed hunting this year. Maybe I'll try again this weekend.

How about you? Are you still seeing bucks with their racks, or have you found any sheds yet?
