Try the following steps first:

   1. Remove the memory card.
   2. Remove all of the batteries.
   3. Press and hold the reset button for at least 7 seconds.
   4. Reinstall the batteries.
   5. Press and hold the reset button again for at least 7 seconds.

If that doesn't work, go to Wildgame Innovation's website, and get their phone number for game camera support.
Call them, and I am sure they will replace the units.
I have been in touch with their support several times in the past. I have always been pleased. In my experience, they have gone above and beyond the call to ensuring that their customers are satisfied.

I was given two units last Christmas. I drew a bear permit this year 2011. Neither unit will take pictures. Any help or advice would be greatly taken. Thanks

I had the same problem as Terry. Tried everything and it would not take a picture night or day settings. I tried on board memory, SD disk, 8 new batteries and reset it a dozen times. Luckily they took it back for exchange. Haven't tried the new one yet. Plus they (wildgame) didn't respond to my e mail131913191319 two days later.

After the poor performance of my Stealthcam, this cheap one was a good performer. It takes good pics, day and night. On the down side though, one of the 2 I have, the IR must have stayed on and was fried when checked. The bateries were a tight fit and the terminal brackets broke on both. The terminal supports are thin plastic, so, be carefull replacing bateries. Battery life was about 3-4 weeks.

One thing you could try is different memory. Some cameras don't operate well with certain brands of memory cards. SANDisk is one of the better memory card to use. The IR4 comes with 64 MB of internal memory. You could try shooting on the internal memory to rule out your memory card. Short of that, you may have received a lemon. You might see if the store it was purchased from will still allow an exchange for a new one.

If not, all of their game cameras are covered by a 1 year warranty. There are some stipulations for their warranty service, so it would be best to contact them directly to verify eligibility.

I'd recommend you contact them <a href="http://www.wildgameinnovations.com/contact-us.html" rel="nofollow">here</a>.

I have received a model#2 for a Christmas gift. I have followed the directions that are on the inside of the camera. It still won't take pictures and the directions don't tell you very much.
I do all the settings and they work but I still can't get any pictures. I would appreciate some better directions or help of any kind.

Check out CamLockBox.com. They offer security boxes for all makes and models of game cameras, including the IR4. I own some of their security boxes, and would personally recommend them. They are good people too!

This camera takes wonderful pictures. It is even sensitive enough to capture smaller creatures such as rabbits, squirrels and even a skunk! My father owns a different camera and he was very impressed that mine was able to recognize that small of an animal. The only downside that I have encountered is that I am not able to set the camera to take multiple pictures at once, instead I can only set it on a time delay, the shortest of which is 30 seconds, or have it set to video recording. I have however had several pictures of deer on my camera, 3 bucks and 7 does, and some of the pictures were taken exactly 30 seconds apart, so the delay does not necessarily ruin the camera's ability to give you more than one picture of every deer, the deer just need to be stopped or grazing.
All in all I would give this camera extremly high marks for the picture quality, the memory, the infrared sensor, and the overall design and layout. Setting up the camera is simple, checking to verify how many pictures you have is easy, and the camo cover with mine really makes it unnoticable. The only recommendation I would have is spend the extra 60$ when you buy the camera and purchase a 12 volt battery adapter kit that most retail stores sell, the four C batteries do not last more than two weeks if you have the camera set to 'all day' mode, and having to run back to the woods every 9 days is really annoying, just to spend more money and replace some batteries. My father has the adapter kit, he has had his camera in the woods for a month and a half, hasnt charged his battery once.

Good Luck hunting!!!!
